Process Lasso allows you to control how many cores/threads a program is able to use in Windows.īy disabling cores/threads you can see improvements in clockspeeds and thermals. Even most recent games seem to top out at 8 threads with only small marginal improvements on machines with more than this. Most game engines aren't able to take advantage of all the threads of a CPU.
